Dieselgate

Don't take it too seriously! This is a small project intended to be fun. This visual identity game is a mix of two Italian classics. Pirelli, a leader in the tire industry founded by Giovanni Battista Pirelli in 1872 and Pinocchio, a historical novel written by Carlo Collodi in 1883, both very close in time.

Originally, the pirelli logo was conceived typographically with a small detail in its first letter, with this modification was intended to visually simulate the idea of rubber, traction, elasticity or grip, essential qualities in their tires. And today, I take that iconic typographic distinction to make a similarity with a colleague of his era. The elasticity of that letter is intended to reflect Pinocchio's nose, which grew as he lied.
